New Equipment/Facility Additions
On-Site Blood Analyzer
The clinic now offers a full diagnostic blood analyzer on-site. This enables the doctors to give clients their animal’s blood work immediately, rather than having to wait for a day for it to be sent to the lab.
Exam Room Payment
We offer a payment station in each exam room so clients don’t have to fumble with their wallets and leashed dogs at the front desk. Now they can do it all comfortably in the exam room. When they are done, they simply walk out the side door.
Cross-Shape Treatment Island
The clinic is centered around this island, which enables the doctors to see into any ward in the clinic. This one-of-a-kind island comes complete with two exam tables and two tubs/tables with exam lights.
Bonding Program
Lazy 5 Vets has started a human-animal bond program, through which we take a couple of our more docile pets to area veterans to cheer them up. This program is now going to start in a few churches and schools in our area. The goal is not necessarily to find a home for these animals, but to use them to comfort people. A Jack Russell lick or golden retriever paw can go a long way in a troubled kid’s or lonely elder’s life.
Dog Park Update
Lazy 5 Vets hopes to work with SURGE and Rowan County to raise money for a dog park in our area. If we build it, they will come! Events such as Paws in the Park and, hopefully, a dog Olympics are just the first steps in bringing members of the community together with their animals.
